Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to own the end-to-end payroll function for a group of four companies, across 300-350 staff.

You will manage weekly, monthly, and night-shift runs, submit RTI to HMRC by deadlines, process pensions under auto-enrolment, post journals, and keep records compliant with GDPR.

A strong Excel user with Sage 50 Payroll is essential; CIPP qualification or equivalent is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Solid end-to-end payroll experience across multiple entities.
• Proficiency with Sage 50 Payroll and Excel.
• Experience with timekeeping systems and GDPR compliance.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payrolls across four group entities.
• Submit RTI to HMRC and handle auto-enrolment pension contributions.
• Post payroll journals and maintain records in line with GDPR.
• Address payroll queries professionally and discreetly.
