Trial Balance in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to own payroll across four group entities, handling weekly, monthly and night shift runs for 300–350 employees. The role is hands-on and detail-oriented with real responsibility to influence payroll processes.
You will manage end-to-end payroll, submit RTI to HMRC on time, handle pension auto-enrolment contributions, and maintain GDPR-compliant payroll records.

This is a dedicated payroll role with real variety, covering a diverse mix of weekly, monthly and night shift payrolls for a combined workforce of 300 to 350 employees.

The ideal candidate will have solid end to end payroll experience and be comfortable managing multiple payroll runs independently. Proficiency with Sage 50 Payroll or a similar payroll software is essential, alongside strong Excel skills and a good working knowledge of timekeeping systems. A CIPP qualification or experience working across multiple legal entities would be a distinct advantage, though candidates who are qualified by experience are equally encouraged to apply.
