Job summary

Trial Balance in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to own payroll across four group entities, handling weekly, monthly and night shift runs for 300–350 employees. The role is hands-on and detail-oriented with real responsibility to influence payroll processes.

You will manage end-to-end payroll, submit RTI to HMRC on time, handle pension auto-enrolment contributions, and maintain GDPR-compliant payroll records.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience across multiple entities.
• Strong Excel skills and timekeeping system knowledge.
• CIPP qualification is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payrolls across four group entities.
• Submit RTI to HMRC by statutory deadlines and handle auto-enrolment pension contributions.
• Post payroll journals to the finance system and maintain GDPR-compliant records.
• Resolve payroll queries from employees and stakeholders with professionalism.
