Job summary

Bedell Cristin in Jersey seeks a Billing and Revenue Controller to manage the end-to-end billing and revenue process, including eBilling submissions and WIP monitoring. You will resolve billing issues, handle invoice queries, and support cash collection while maintaining accurate revenue records.

You will collaborate with Partners, Fee Earners and clients, ensuring timely bills, accurate data, and compliant processes. Flexibility to cover during leave is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing and revenue control within a professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle including WIP, billing and collections.
• Experience with eBilling processes and client portals, resolving validation errors and rejections.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail; ability to interpret billing data and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage matters through billing and collection cycle with accurate records.
• Prepare bills and schedules; liaise with Fee Earners for review and approval.
• Process bill amendments, transfers, write-offs and closures per controls.
• Monitor unbilled WIP; resolve blockers with Fee Earners.
• Submit invoices via eBilling platforms and client portals on time.
• Investigate eBilling rejections and maintain audit trail to acceptance.
• Provide invoice breakdowns and respond to billing queries promptly.
• Manage outstanding debtors and follow up on overdue balances.
• Collaborate with Partners, Fee Earners, clients and Finance colleagues to resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain billing, debtor and WIP reports; highlight risks.
• Support regular debtor and WIP reviews and action tracking.
• Allocate and reconcile receipts; investigate misallocated payments.
