Job summary

Our client in Jersey is seeking a seasoned Billing & Revenue Manager to lead the end-to-end billing cycle, revenue integrity and related financial controls.

The role oversees billing operations, cash collection and reconciliation, ensuring accurate processing of client and internal transactions while supporting the wider finance function.

This is a permanent leadership position requiring strong governance, team leadership and collaboration with cross-functional finance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing accounting processes and teams with robust controls around billing and revenue streams.
• Proven ability to oversee credit control, manage aged debt and optimise cash collection.
• Grounding in double-entry bookkeeping and ledger maintenance to support reconciliations and revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with managing payments and correct allocation within deadlines.
• Oversight of supplier invoices and expenses with proper coding and timely payment.
• Expertise in reconciling bank, client, and control accounts to identify discrepancies.
• Experience managing standing orders and direct debits for automated collections and payments.
• Understanding of transaction flows and financial operations to drive process improvements.

Key Skills & Experience

• Accounting Manager: Experience managing accounting processes and teams, ensuring robust controls and accurate financial reporting around billing and revenue streams.

• Credit Manager: Proven ability to oversee credit control, manage aged debt, and optimise cash collection in line with company policies.

• Accounting/Bookkeeping & Bookkeeping: Strong grounding in double-entry bookkeeping and ledger maintenance to support accurate reconciliations and revenue recognition.

• Payments: Familiarity with managing incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring they are correctly allocated and processed within agreed timeframes.

• Purchase Ledger: Oversight of supplier invoices and expenses, ensuring proper coding, approval, and timely payment to maintain strong supplier relationships.

• Reconciliations: Expertise in reconciling bank, client, and control accounts to identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.

• S.O./D.D.s - Transfers: Experience managing standing orders, direct debits and other transfer mechanisms to streamline automated collections and payments.
