Job summary

A leading company in training and assessment is seeking an Assessor for Hospitality level 2 and 3. This home-based role requires managing assessments for apprentices within the hospitality sector while offering some flexibility in working hours. Ideal candidates should be qualified assessors with relevant experience and possess their own equipment. Opportunities for long-term engagement exist based on performance and workload.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an endpoint assessment role for Hospitality at levels 2 or 3.
  • Must possess own equipment, including laptop.
  • DBS clearance ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for Front of House Hospitality apprenticeship standards.
  • Schedule and plan assessments with learners and employers.
  • Write reports on assessment outcomes.

Job description

The role is home based with some travel – mileage paid

This role is until the end of July 2025

Possibility for extension or becoming permanent, as there is plenty of work available

Monday to Friday

Seeking someone who can work 3, 4, or 5 days per week depending on your availability

Working hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility

Candidates can reside anywhere south of England, from the Midlands down

Job role
  • Carrying out end point assessment activities and making decisions for apprenticeship standards for Front of House Hospitality level 2 and 3 for learners in hotels, such as Admin, Reception, Events, Conferences, Housekeeping
  • Experience covering food and beverage is an advantage but not essential
  • Must have end point assessing experience for Hospitality at levels 2 or 3
  • Must have previously worked in an EPA role or delivered end point assessments for an awarding body
  • Carrying out assessments with learners
  • Scheduling appointments for assessments
  • Planning meetings with apprentices and employers online
  • Agreeing on plans and schedules for each assessment activity within the end point window
  • Writing reports and assessments
Essential requirements for the role
  • Must be Assessor qualified, such as TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/D33
  • Must have own equipment, including a laptop and an email address
  • Ideally, DBS clearance in place and on the update service
