Job summary

Sushi Gourmet is recruiting a full-time (35 hours) Chef Manager to lead our team at Sushi Gourmet - Northwich, Sainsbury's, Venables Road, Northwich, CW9 5RT. You will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety, and maintain high standards across all service moments.

The role requires leadership, willingness to work early shifts, and a passion for sustainable, high-quality food. Training and development are provided to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Experience leading people and building team confidence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of Food Safety & Health & Safety regulations and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Kiosk team and maintain audit standards for food and health & safety.
• Ensure high cleanliness and food safety on site for customers and staff.
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish.
• Accurately label products to ensure allergen compliance.
• Be a skilled multitasker and willing to learn new skills.
• Shifts may start at 6:00am; punctuality is essential.

• Experience in leading people, who can build confidence and capability in your team enabling them to succeed
• Ready to work in a fast-paced environment whilst always leading by example
• Pride in your work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning
• A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And can:

• Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
• Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
• Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered

Qualifications

Qualifications

Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are Desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
