Job summary

Sushi Gourmet is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the Northwich kiosk at Sainsbury's, overseeing a small team and ensuring top-quality, freshly prepared meals from 6:00am starts.

You will drive standards in food safety, HACCP compliance, and customer service while maintaining a smooth, efficient operation in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance.
• Ensure the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site.
• Highly organised with a focus on forward planning.
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish.
• Accurately labeling products to ensure allergen compliance.
• Be a skilled multitasker and an early riser (shifts start at 6:00am).
• Learn new skills or improve existing ones.

Sushi Gourmet is recruiting a full-time (35 hours) Chef Manager to come and lead our team in Sushi Gourmet - Northwich, Sainsbury's, Venables Road, Northwich, CW9 5RT

• Enthusiastic, energetic with the ability to demonstrate initiative

• Able to work as part of a team or on your own whilst maintaining high standards at all times,

• Experience in leading people, who can build confidence and capability in your team enabling them to succeed
• Ready to work in a fast-paced environment whilst always leading by example
• Pride in your work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning
• A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And can:

• Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves

• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered

Qualifications

Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are Desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
