Job summary

Sushi Gourmet inside Sainsbury's in Macclesfield is hiring a Part-Time Sushi chef to join our team. You will prepare fresh ingredients, label products and help create high-quality, sustainable sushi.

We value enthusiastic, reliable people who can work early shifts (some starts at 6:00am), on weekends, and who stay calm in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include paid fortnightly pay, free lunch on shift, and training throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, energetic with the ability to demonstrate initiative.
• Flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Able to help customers with a smile and work as part of a team or on your own.
• Good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations; follow brand standards and company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products, each shift.
• Accurately labeling products, ensuring food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean the workspace and storerooms as required.
• Be organized and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safe environment for customers.

• An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
