Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking a proactive Year 5 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Year 5 class on a one-to-one and small-group basis. You will assist with lessons and activities, helping pupils build confidence and independence in a nurturing environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with primary-aged children or in an educational setting, strong communication skills, and a patient, adaptable approach, with a focus on safeguarding and KS2 development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.
• Experience within a school or educational setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Understanding of Key Stage 2 learning and development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within a Year 5 classroom on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
• Support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities.
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
• Promote positive behaviour and attitudes to learning.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
