Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Telford, supporting a Year 5 class.

You will work alongside the class teacher, provide reading, writing and maths support, and help pupils stay focused, engaged and develop confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching & Learning qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
• Experience with KS2/Year 5 is advantageous.

Aspire People are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Telford, supporting a Year 5 class.

The school is looking for a reliable Teaching Assistant who can work effectively alongside the class teacher and provide high-quality support to pupils across the curriculum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher with:

• Providing classroom and learning support to Year 5 pupils
• Supporting children with reading, writing and maths
• Working with individuals and small groups

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning or an equivalent relevant qualification
• Previous experience working within a primary school
• Experience working with KS2 pupils, particularly Year 5, would be advantageous
• A patient, positive and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work effectively alongside the class teacher
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• A reliable and professional approach
