Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a Year 5 Teaching Assistant for mornings in Esher. You will work with the class teacher to support Year 5 pupils across core subjects, helping them stay engaged, confident and progressing.

This role is ideal for someone with experience with primary children, a positive and proactive approach, and strong communication. Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential; DBS check will be required.

Year 5 Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only)

The Role

Working alongside the class teacher, you will support pupils in Year 5 to help them reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with Key Stage 2 children and wants to make a positive impact within the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils during lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Helping pupils stay focused, motivated, and confident in their learning.
• Providing additional support for children who may require extra guidance.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 1:15pm
