Job summary

Stratford-Upon-Avon Primary School is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work in a Year 5/6 classroom and support the class teacher, small groups and 1:1 learning. The role aims to create a fun, safe, ambitious learning environment where children feel nurtured and valued.

You will work across classrooms as needed, building relationships with children, families and staff, and contributing to a supportive team focused on pupil progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary-aged children in a school setting.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups, and across classes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, families and staff.
• Understanding of the National Curriculum and safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher and support groups or individuals.
• Work across different classrooms as needed.
• Observe and adapt learning to meet outcomes for different pupils.
