Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a Year 5 Teaching Assistant for mornings in Esher. You will work with the class teacher to support Year 5 pupils across core subjects, helping them stay engaged, confident and progressing.

This role is ideal for someone with experience with primary children, a positive and proactive approach, and strong communication. Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential; DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary-aged children
• Positive, patient and proactive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Confidence supporting learning across the primary curriculum
• Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons on 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with delivery of engaging learning activities
• Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and confident in their learning
• Providing additional support for children who may require extra guidance
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive learning environment
• Supporting children's social and emotional development
