Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Sleaford, Lincolnshire, England. You will support pupils with learning activities, help them stay focused and engaged, and assist teachers with classroom tasks in a busy school environment.

This role offers flexible, ongoing work across local schools, with safeguarding knowledge and an enhanced DBS preferred. You will contribute to pupils' development and have opportunities for training and long-term

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and positive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities and classroom tasks.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Help pupils stay focused, motivated, and engaged in their learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and build pupils' confidence and independence.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation.
• Support pupils with SEND or additional learning needs where required.
