Job summary

GSL Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Skegness. You will work with teachers to help pupils access learning, support individual or group sessions, and contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom.

Start ASAP with full-time or part-time long-term roles. A DBS is required or willingness to apply. The role offers ongoing work and opportunities to develop skills within education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an education setting.
• Patient, supportive and able to adapt to different pupil needs.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can use their initiative while also working effectively as part of a team.
• Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• Reliable, professional and committed to making a positive impact.
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons and learning activities.
• Working with individual pupils or small groups.
• Helping students overcome barriers to learning.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and participation.
• Assisting pupils who need additional educational or pastoral support.
• Supporting the teacher with the smooth running of the classroom.
• Helping to create an environment where pupils feel safe, included and encouraged to succeed.
