Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Horncastle. This role offers flexible hours with full-time or part-time options.

The daily rate ranges from £93 to £110 depending on experience, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and student development. The ideal candidate will have a patient, caring approach, strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• DBS Update Service preferred or willingness to apply for one.
• A patient, caring and positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities and classroom tasks.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Help pupils remain focused, motivated and engaged in their learning.
• Support positive behaviour and encourage pupils' confidence and independence.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation.
• Provide additional support to pupils with SEND or other learning needs where required.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
