Job summary

Best Lives Limited is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live independently and participate in community activities. You will provide person-centred support, promoting dignity, choice and inclusion in daily life and social outings.

The role emphasizes empathetic communication, teamwork, and flexibility across shifts, with comprehensive training and ongoing support offered.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and reliable individual with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Full training and ongoing support provided; prior experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support in line with individual support plans.
• Promote independence, dignity and respect at all times.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting.
• Assist individuals to access the community and social activities.
• Maintain accurate daily records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
