Job summary

LiveWest is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our Bristol service. You will help adult males with enduring mental health and social care needs maintain tenancies and live independently, supporting budgeting and access to education and employment opportunities.

The role emphasises safeguarding, flexible hours, and a supportive, values-led team focused on wellbeing and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally in housing or homelessness services.
• Understands the challenges faced by people transitioning from homelessness.
• Can work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support.
• Is confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Holds safeguarding knowledge and ideally an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing-related support tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment.
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with customers and partner agencies.
• Support customers to access training, employment, and community opportunities.
• Carry out risk assessments and develop personal support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service targets.
