Job summary

Dimensions is hiring a Female Support Worker in Basildon to support a woman in her early 60s to live the life she chooses in her own home. This part-time, on-site role involves 22.5 hours per week with a 7:00–2:30/2:30–10:00 schedule and alternate weekends.

Training and ongoing support are provided, and a strong emphasis is placed on independence, wellbeing and respectful relationships. You will work with an experienced team to deliver proactive, consistent support, including daily living

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours of distress.

Responsibilities

• Providing consistent, skilled and reassuring support when experiencing behaviours of distress.
• Encouraging and supporting her to develop and maintain everyday living skills.
• Supporting with meal planning, cooking, medication administration and healthcare appointments.
• Maintaining structured, positive routines that promote wellbeing and help manage changes or transitions.
• Supporting with mobility when accessing the community, including the use of mobility equipment when required.
• Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with family members, friends and the local community.
• Supporting her to access social, leisure and community-based activities that are important to her.
