Job summary

LiveWest is seeking a part-time Support Worker for our Complex Needs Services in Plymouth. You will help customers manage tenancy, understand benefits, and develop life skills to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will work flexibly, build professional relationships, and create outcome-focused support plans while safeguarding and maintaining accurate records. This role is office-based in Plymouth and requires an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds with varying support needs.
• Ability to build effective relationships and maintain boundaries.
• Experience maintaining records and contributing to action or support plans.
• Confident decision-making and accountability.
• Ability to work independently (including lone working) and in a team.
• Flexibility to meet customer needs.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and safeguarding of vulnerable people.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Safeguarding awareness or certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, person-centred support service for customers with complex needs.
• Build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partner agencies.
• Identify support needs and develop outcome-focused support plans.
• Promote independence, inclusion and reduce social isolation.
• Complete and review risk assessments; manage risk per policies.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service targets.
• Work within professional boundaries and safeguard, promote equality and confidentiality.
