Job summary

Southdown is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults with learning and physical disabilities live independently and with dignity. You will support daily living activities and encourage clients to engage with their local community.

Full training is provided; prior health care experience is welcome but not essential. This role is based at Roman Court in Burgess Hill with varied shifts and a rewarding, empowering daily routine.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in health care roles is welcome but not essential.
• Willingness to train and develop care skills.
• Good communication and empathy when supporting clients.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently and with dignity in daily activities.
• Encourage community engagement through walks, cinema, shopping, and cafe visits.
• Assist with cooking, cleaning and personal care as part of daily living.
• Build clients’ confidence and independence through empowering care.
