Job summary

Hft is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You will support activities, promote confidence, and help people stay active and connected within a caring team.

The role requires patience, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts. Experience in social care is welcome but not essential; a Health and Social Care qualification is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Empower independence, choice, and dignity for people we support.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work, and community activities.
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing while respecting decisions.
• Support people to attend health appointments and manage medications confidently.
• Build independence and self-belief step by step.
• Assist with daily living and personal care when needed.
• Keep accurate records and follow safeguarding practices.
