Job summary

Uniform Education is seeking two SEN Learning Support Assistants for a secondary mainstream school in the RH1 Redhill area, starting 1 September 2026. You will support students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and learning needs to access lessons and build confidence.

Experience in SEN settings is preferred. DBS Update Service is essential, and right to work in the UK is required. This full-time role begins 1 September 2026 and offers a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN students, ideally in a secondary school
• Patience and resilience with a nurturing approach
• Ability to support students 1:1 or in small groups
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people
• Proactive and adaptable approach to inclusivity and learning

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs
• Help students access lessons and complete learning activities
• Support students' independence, confidence and social skills
• Adapt and reinforce learning activities as appropriate
• Support positive behaviour and engagement in class
• Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team
• Offer encouragement and reassurance to students facing school challenges
• Support students academically and pastorally throughout the day
• Maintain a calm, patient and consistent approach
