Job summary

GSL Education Kent is recruiting a Physical Education Learning Mentor for a secondary school in Sandwich, starting 2nd November 2026. The role is ongoing, full-time, and focuses on using sport to engage pupils and support their wellbeing.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children, a passion for PE, and strong communication and safeguarding practices. DBS checks are required, with CPD opportunities available through our partner network.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in a school or educational setting.
• Strong interest in Physical Education and sport.
• Ability to motivate and engage students through positive encouragement.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their learning and personal development using PE and sport.
• Encourage participation, teamwork, resilience and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to help remove learning barriers and build relationships.
