GSL Education Kent are recruiting a Primary Learning Mentor to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in Thanet. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, graduate or aspiring teacher to develop experience in education while enhancing pupil learning and wellbeing.

As a Primary Learning Mentor, you will provide targeted academic and pastoral support, helping children develop literacy, numeracy, communication and social skills, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience working with children within a primary school, educational or mentoring setting.
• Confident supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Help pupils develop positive attitudes towards learning and independence.
• Provide support with literacy, numeracy and classroom-based activities.
• Encourage confidence, resilience and effective learning habits.
• Build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Be patient, supportive and committed to helping pupils reach potential.

Responsabilités

• Provide targeted academic and pastoral support to pupils.
• Work independently and alongside classroom teachers.
• Help children develop literacy, numeracy, communication and social skills.
• Encourage greater confidence and independence in learning.
• Create a positive rapport with pupils and provide consistent encouragement.
• Safeguarding knowledge and DBS checks as required for the role.
