GSL Education Kent is seeking a dedicated Physical Education Learning Mentor to support students in a well-regarded secondary school in Sandwich. The role starts 2nd November 2026 and is ongoing, full-time, with a daily rate of £120–£250 depending on experience.

You will work with staff to promote participation, resilience and positive behaviour, ensuring safeguarding and pupil wellbeing are central to all activities. DBS checks are required, with CPD opportunities available.

Job Title: Physical Education Learning Mentor

Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)

GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting for a dedicated Physical Education Learning Mentor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Sandwich from 2nd November 2026 on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in sport, education, and student wellbeing who wants to make a meaningful difference in a supportive school environment.

The successful Physical Education Learning Mentor will support students in their learning and personal development, using their passion for physical education and sport to encourage participation, teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour. You will work closely with teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within the school community.

The ideal Physical Education Learning Mentor will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people in a school or educational setting
• A strong interest in Physical Education, sport, and physical activity
• The ability to motivate and engage students through positive encouragement

Please be advised that this Physical Education Learning Mentor role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.

We also offer, via our partner, access to accredited Education-relevant CPD courses.

In addition to that, GSL Education is currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants (Ts & Cs apply).
