Job summary

Shaftesbury Next Steps is recruiting for a part-time Enabling Support Worker to join our day centre team. The role involves supporting young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, following a person-centred plan and promoting inclusion and wellbeing.

You will maintain accurate records, may assist with personal care and medication, and cover sleep-in sessions, for which you receive an additional £60 per sleep-in. The post is based in our operations team in London.

Qualifications

• Provide support and encouragement by taking direction from the person supported and the person centred support plan.
• Maintain accurate records in line with service requirements.
• May administer personal care and medication.
• Cover sleep-in sessions with additional pay of £60 per sleep in.

Responsibilities

• Support people with learning disabilities to participate in activities and life-skills development.
• Record-keeping and reporting as required by the service.
• Work as part of a caring, community-minded team to enable independence.
