Job summary

Education Matters Group is recruiting an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a Further Education college in Epping Forest, supporting learners with SEND and other barriers to learning.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support, helping learners access their curriculum and progress toward academic goals. The role also covers exam access, personal care where needed, and safeguarding duties.

Qualifications

• Experience or working with learners who have SEND/additional needs.
• Education sector experience (FE/college/school) preferred.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups with patience and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support in classroom/workshop settings.
• Support learners with SEND, EHCPs, learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Assist with exam access arrangements (reading/ scribes) as required.
• Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to support plans.
