Job summary

Education Matters Group is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to support learners with SEND within a Further Education setting in Epping Forest. This full-time role starts in September 2026.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with reading, scribing and IT, and help learners access their studies while promoting independence and engagement. Personal care support may be required, and you will work closely with teachers and the SEND team.

Qualifications

• Experience as LSA/SEN TA or SEND Support Worker.
• Passion for supporting learners with additional needs.
• Personal care/moving & handling experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support in classrooms and practical settings.
• Help learners access their studies and develop independence.
• Support with reading, scribing, IT and exam access arrangements.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and engagement.
• Provide personal care and mobility support where required.
• Work closely with teachers and the SEND team.
