Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work across Peterlee and surrounding areas. The role runs full time during term time, with hours from 8:30am to 4:00pm, starting September 2026.

You will support pupils in class, in 1:1 and small groups, and help develop literacy, numeracy, and independence while promoting positive behaviour. Experience as TA/LSA or related roles is valued, and transferable skills from other youth or childcare roles are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant, LSA, SEN TA, Behaviour Support Worker, Youth Worker, Mentor, Sports Coach, Support Worker or Childcare Practitioner preferred.
• Strong transferable skills for candidates moving into education are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in whole-class lessons.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
