Job summary

Protocol Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a school in Peterlee. The role focuses on building a trusting relationship and enabling access to lessons with patient, calm support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in care, youth work, mentoring, or childcare, and be reliable, observant and a strong communicator. Training and ongoing support are provided.

• Experience in care, youth work, mentoring, childcare or similar roles

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the pupil
• Help the pupil access lessons and classroom activities
• Break down tasks and reinforce instructions
• Support concentration, engagement and social interaction
• Record and share relevant observations with teachers and SENCO
