Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking an Inclusive Learning Mentor to support learners with SEND and additional support needs in an inclusive environment. You will work closely with curriculum teams, Learning Support Assistants, and external professionals to help learners achieve literacy, numeracy, communication and employability skills.

The role emphasizes personalised, person-centred support, safeguarding, and collaboration with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to enable learners to thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional support needs.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and support learners with varying needs.
• Understanding of inclusive practice and person-centred support.
• Patient, flexible and positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to learners across curriculum areas.
• Support literacy, numeracy, communication and study skills.
• Assist learners in achieving EHCP outcomes.
• Build positive relationships to promote confidence and independence.
• Support learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs as required.
• Assist access to classroom activities, enrichment, work placements and community learning.
• Provide personal care and mobility support following care plans and risk assessments.
• Work with teaching staff, therapists, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain records.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and learner wellbeing.
