Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Specialist - Literacy & Numeracy in Greater Manchester. You will support learners with SEND across FE settings, delivering targeted interventions and practical help to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.

You'll work closely with teaching staff to adapt materials, monitor progress, and promote inclusive learning, independence, and employability skills for students preparing for further education and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND in an educational setting.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of English and mathematics curriculum delivery.
• Clear communication and ability to adapt strategies.
• Experience in school/college/further education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support in English, maths, literacy, and numeracy.
• Deliver targeted interventions to improve reading, writing, spelling, and maths.
• Support learners in developing Functional Skills and everyday numeracy.
• Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
• Support learners with SEND needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help learners build confidence, independence, study and employability skills.
• Support learners towards EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
• Promote inclusive learning and positive learner engagement.
• Collaborate with lecturers, SEND teams and other support staff.
