Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a Learning Support Specialist - Literacy & Numeracy for Greater Manchester FE and sixth-form settings. You will work with teaching staff to provide targeted interventions, practical support, and strategies to help learners overcome barriers to learning and gain confidence for further education, employment and independent living.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND in educational settings.
• Ability to adapt strategies to individual learner needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support in English, maths, literacy, and numeracy.
• Deliver targeted interventions to improve reading, writing, spelling, communication, and mathematical understanding.
• Support learners in developing Functional Skills and everyday numeracy.
• Adapt learning materials and support strategies to meet individual learner needs.
• Support learners with SEND across FE settings and collaborate with lecturers and SEND teams.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote inclusive learning practices and learner engagement.
• Develop learner confidence, independence, study and employability skills.
• Support learners in working toward EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
