Job summary

Aspire Housing and Personal Development Services in Glasgow is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower individuals facing homelessness. You will provide person-centred support to help clients maintain accommodation, develop budgeting skills, cook nutritious meals, and access health care and housing services.

In this role you will conduct assessments, manage risk enablement plans, and work toward Better Futures outcomes while supporting independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• SVQ 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or a commitment to undertake an SVQ.
• Registration with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) or a commitment to become registered.
• PVG checks will be required for the successful applicant, as are two references, one being from the most recent employer.

Responsibilities

• Support and enable individuals to maintain their accommodation and develop budgeting skills.
• Signposting to and sourcing appropriate services such as Health Care, Housing, Associations, Case Workers, Addiction/Recovery Services.
• Carry out assessments and reviews of support needs and Risk Enablement Plans as required.
• Help individuals achieve Better Futures outcomes and improve quality of life.

Education
