Job summary

Aspire in Glasgow is seeking Sessional Support Workers to assist in Housing Services, helping people in the community with trauma recovery, tenancy sustainment and reducing social isolation. You will support individuals to feel safe, empowered and connected while delivering person-centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enable individuals to maintain accommodation; develop budgeting skills, cook nutritious meals and manage their home.
  • Signposting and sourcing appropriate services such as Health Care, Housing Associations, Case Workers, Addiction/Recovery Services.
  • Carry out assessments and reviews of support needs as circumstances change.
  • Develop Risk Enablement Plans as needed for changing needs and aspirations.
  • Work with individuals to achieve Better Futures outcomes and improve quality of life.

We’re looking forSessional Support Workersto join ourHousing Services, supporting individuals in the community with:

  • Trauma and addiction recovery
  • Social isolation and tenancy sustainment

Whether it’s helping someone feel confident in their own home or supporting them at a community event, you’ll play a vital role in helping people feel safe, empowered, and connected.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • To support and enable individuals to maintain their accommodation; develop budgeting skills, cook nutritional meals and managing their home.
  • Signposting and sourcing appropriate services such as Health Care, Housing
  • Associations, Case Workers, Addiction/Recovery Services.
  • To carry out assessments and reviews of support needs as and when necessary due to the changing needs and aspirations of individuals.
  • To carry out Risk Enablement Plans as and when necessary due to the changing needs and aspirations of individuals.
  • Working with individuals to achieve their desired Support & Development Goals through use of an Outcome Measurement Framework called Better Futures.
  • To support individuals to improve their quality of life.
