Job summary

Landau Ltd in Dawley is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our charity’s education team. You will support learners with SEND, help them develop knowledge and confidence, and work under supervision to deliver learning activities.

Under the tutor’s direction you will plan, adapt resources, assess progress, compile portfolios, prepare for exams and supervise work experience. You’ll promote inclusion and safe behaviour, ensuring safeguarding policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND and mental health or disadvantage issues.
• Ability to plan, prepare or adapt resources to meet learner needs.
• Experience meeting the requirements of learners with Education, Health and Care Plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under supervision of a tutor.
• Assess, record and report on development and attainment.
• Support learners with social and emotional wellbeing, reporting problems to the tutor.
