Job summary

The Forum School and Residential Home, part of The Cambian Group, seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support learners aged 7–19 with autism, severe learning difficulties and complex needs. The HLTA will work alongside TAs and Learning Support Workers, supervise classes in teacher absence, and contribute to safeguarding and personal care where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and promote high-quality relationships between staff and students.
• Support individual students and groups in learning activities and personal care as needed.
• Assist TAs and LSWs in developing literacy and numeracy skills.
• Observe student performance, contribute to reports, and maintain records.
• Support teachers by preparing resources and delivering activities.
