Job summary

Woodlands School in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our inspired and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with class teachers to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities across the school day.

You will provide leadership, supervision and performance support for Education and Health Care Assistants (EHCAs) within the class, ensuring high-quality provision for pupils with SEND and complex needs, with ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Experience in a special school or SEND setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to meet pupils’ complex needs and support learning across the school day.
• Proven ability to guide and support other staff through supervision and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities for individuals, groups or whole classes.
• Provide leadership, supervision and performance support for Education and Health Care Assistants (EHCAs).
• Work in close partnership with class teachers to ensure high-quality provision across the school day.
• Use technology to support learning and record pupil progress.

About the Role
