Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking Support Workers in Northern Ireland to join a dedicated team at Castle Lane. The role involves promoting independent living, delivering person-centred support, and adhering to medication policies where needed.

The position offers flexible patterns including full-time, part-time, and relief, with salaries based on 39 hours (FTE) and pro-rated to contracted hours. AccessNI checks are required, and driving is an asset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with domestic or social skills and personal care.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Collaborate with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations arising from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
• Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care’s Medication Policy where necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, ensuring relevant and important information is recorded and logged according to the service's reporting guidelines.
• Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
