Edwards & Pearce in Leeds city centre is seeking an Employment Solicitor (Associate) to manage a varied caseload focused on executive exits and claimant employment litigation, while supporting the wider Company and Commercial team under a Partner.

The hybrid working model follows probation, with a profit-sharing scheme and a culture that values collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum around five years' PQE in employment law.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and the tribunal process.
• Experience managing employment litigation, especially claimant matters.
• Experience in respondent litigation or non-contentious advisory is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a focus on client care.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to legal matters.
• Professional and approachable with strong client care.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive, adaptable; able to work under pressure.
• Proficient IT skills; current practising certificate if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Manage a varied caseload of employment law matters.
• Handle employment tribunal claims and support clients through the litigation process.
• Assist the Company and Commercial team with employment-related matters as required.
• Advise clients on complex employment law issues with practical, commercially minded solutions.
• Draft clear, accurate and effective legal correspondence, pleadings and other documents.
• Represent clients and present legal arguments effectively, orally and in writing.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional, responsive service.
• Ensure matters are managed efficiently, accurately and within deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues under Partner supervision to achieve best outcomes.
• Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and case law.
