Job summary

SaccoMann in Preston seeks an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its growing Employment team. You will manage a varied caseload across unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and redundancy, providing clear written and verbal advice while coordinating with clients, opponents and tribunals.

Applicants should have 3+ years PQE in Employment law, exceptional client care, and the ability to commute to Preston.

Qualifications

• Be qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 3 years PQE.
• Experience working in Employment Law with own caseload and deadlines.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Willingness to commute to Preston.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex Employment caseload (unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, redundancy).
• Provide clear written and verbal legal advice to clients and liaise with tribunals and opposing parties.
• Mentor solicitors, trainees and paralegals within the team and support department development.
• Contribute to business development in the local area.

Key Responsibilities

Within this Employment Solicitor role, you will be managing a varied and complex caseload of Employment matters ranging from:

• Unfair dismissal
• Discrimination
• TUPE
• Redundancy

You will be responsible for providing clear written and verbal legal advice, and managing communications with clients, opponents, Tribunals and third parties to progress files.

As well as this, you will act as a mentor to solicitors, trainees and paralegals in the team, contribute to the development of the department and conduct business development in the local area.

About You

• Be qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 3 years PQE
• Previous experience working within the Employment sector
• Proven experience of handling your own Employment Law caseload, working to and managing deadlines
• Fantastic client care and communication skills
• Able to commute to Preston

Desirable

• Previous experience within supervising Paralegals / Solicitors
• Experience conducting your own advocacy and attending tribunal hearings
• Previous experience with Business Development activities, with the ability to network with potential clients.
