SaccoMann in Preston is seeking an Employment Professional Support Lawyer to move into a strategic, collaborative role away from routine fee-earning. You will help shape best practice, support complex matters and drive technical excellence within a respected Employment team.

The role emphasizes developing content, delivering training, and contributing to client-facing initiatives, with a clear path for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE.
• Strong background within Employment Law.
• Experience handling a broad range of employment matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and redundancy.
• Confident delivering presentations and training sessions to clients and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the Employment team up to date with legal developments and changes in employment law.
• Providing technical guidance, legal support and resources to colleagues.
• Assisting with complex matters and contributing to case strategy.
• Producing engaging legal content for clients, marketing materials and online publications.
• Delivering internal and external training sessions and promoting best practice.
• Supporting business development and thought leadership initiatives.
• Maintaining high standards of client care, compliance and professional practice.

About You

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE.
• Strong background within Employment Law.
• Experience handling a broad range of employment matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, and redundancy.
• Confident delivering presentations and training sessions to clients and external stakeholders.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team environment.

Desirable

• Experience advising clients within sectors such as Education, Housing, or Local Government.
• Previous experience in a Professional Support Lawyer or knowledge-focused role.
