Job summary

G2 Legal Limited is representing a leading East Midlands Legal 500 firm recruiting an experienced Employment Lawyer (Solicitor/CILEX) to join its Leicester team. You will advise businesses, charities and individuals on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including contracts and policies, discrimination, TUPE and settlement agreements.

The role suits an Employment Solicitor with about 2–3 years PQE, though stronger candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

Employment Law Solicitor - Leicester

My client is a leading East Midlands Legal 500 law firm seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer (Solicitor/CILEX) to join its growing Leicester team.

Your role will be to advise an impressive array of businesses, not-for-profit organisations and individuals across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including employment contracts and policies, discrimination, TUPE, restructuring, settlement agreements and Employment Tribunal claims.

The role and workload would ideally suit an Employment Solicitor who has attained at least 2 or 3 years PQE, however due to the strength of the wider team, there is scope to consider more experienced candidates.

As the successful Employment Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload while supporting senior team members on more complex matters.

The role will involve advising employers and senior individuals on matters such as:

• disciplinary, grievance and capability matters
• redundancy and restructuring
• TUPE transfers
• settlement agreements
• restrictive covenants
• post-termination disputes
• whistleblowing
• discrimination and unfair dismissal
• day-to-day HR and employment law support.

Understandably with a role like this, strong technical ability, attention to detail and excellent client care skills are essential, together with a collaborative and commercially minded approach.

An interest in business development and networking is also important, with opportunities to attend marketing events, lead Employment Law seminars, provide case law updates and facilitate group discussions.
