Job summary

ENL Legal Recruitment is assisting a Devon firm in recruiting an Employment Solicitor. Hybrid working is available, and you will advise a diverse employer client base on contentious and non-contentious matters.

We seek a qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with around 2–4 years PQE, strong employment law experience, excellent client care, and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

The Opportunity

A well-established and growing law firm in Devon is seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its successful Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of employer clients, from SMEs to larger national businesses, advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Advising employers on day-to-day employment law and HR matters
• Drafting employment contracts, policies and procedures
• Managing disciplinary, grievance and redundancy issues
• Advising on TUPE transfers and restructures
• Negotiating settlement agreements
• Defending Employment Tribunal claims
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting business development and networking activities

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• Around 2–4 years' PQE (guideline only)
• Strong employment law experience acting for employers
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Commercially minded and solutions-focused
• Able to manage a varied caseload independently
