Job summary

BCL Legal Limited in Birmingham is seeking an Employment Associate with 1-5 years' PQE to join a market-leading employment team. You will handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, advising a diverse client base across private and public sectors.

You'll draft contracts and policies, manage Employment Tribunal claims, support restructures including TUPE, and contribute to business development. A collaborative environment offers strong career progression and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years' PQE in employment law.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience advising commercial or public sector clients is advantageous.
• Excellent client-facing communication and collaboration.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies and disciplinary procedures.
• Manage Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to resolution.
• Support corporate transactions and restructures, including TUPE-related matters.
• Advise on employee relations issues and data subject access requests.
• Deliver strategic employment law advice across sectors and build client relationships.
