Job summary

BCL Legal is working with a leading UK law firm to appoint a Senior Associate in its Employment team in Leeds. The role focuses on advising employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters and offers hybrid working.

The successful candidate will have 5-8 years' PQE in employment law, strong drafting and advisory experience, and a track record of managing client relationships and junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 5-8 years' PQE in Employment law.
• Experience advising employer clients on both employment advisory and employment litigation matters.
• Experience gained within a recognised regional, national or international law firm.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Autonomy in handling client relationships and matters.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Manage Employment Tribunal litigation and dispute resolution.
• Advise on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including TUPE and due diligence.
• Support senior executives exits, restrictive covenant disputes and workplace investigations.
• Supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team development.
• Develop client relationships and deliver commercially focused advice.
• Promote marketing, networking and business development activities.
