Job summary

Fedcap Group in Guildford is seeking a people-focused, target-driven individual to deliver tailored, one-to-one support to help long-term unemployed individuals overcome barriers and find sustainable work. This is part of the DWP Restart Scheme, with on-site work in Guildford.

You’ll wear many hats—supporting, encouraging, signposting, advising, coaching, and inspiring individuals—while building trust and challenging mindsets.

Qualifications

• Background in target-driven roles and/or experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
• Ability to build rapport, understand, and empower individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex needs.
• Experience in customer-facing roles in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain accurate customer records.
• Resilience and a growth mindset, and a real passion for making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Work towards clear targets and KPIs (including quality & compliance SLAs) – with plenty of support along the way.
• Manage a caseload of customers, with face-to-face appointments throughout the day, creating SMART action plans and providing job-searching support.
• Help build confidence, develop skills and change mindsets.
• Collaborate with external services to tackle complex challenges and help overcome barriers.

Salary: £28,438, rising to £30,253 following successful completion of training and demonstration of competence in the role.

Location: Onsite in Guildford (GU1 4SY)

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
