Job summary

Travis Perkins Plc is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to support a busy ER function in Northampton. You will manage ER cases, advise colleagues and managers by phone, and collaborate with senior leaders to resolve issues while ensuring policy compliance and commercial outcomes.

The role starts in-office for training, then moves to a hybrid pattern with 2-3 days in the office weekly. A strong ER background and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Employee Relations cases (disciplinaries, grievances, appeals).
• Ability to provide practical, compliant ER guidance to managers and colleagues.
• Strong communication skills and confident influencing at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional ER advice to colleagues, managers and senior leaders by phone.
• Coaching managers towards best outcomes and solutions for ER issues.
• End-to-end case management for disciplinaries, appeals, grievances and long-term sickness.
• Ensure advice is commercial, impartial, consistent and compliant with policies.
• Weekend and Bank Holiday on-call cover with on-call allowance.
